This is the Draft Glen Strathfarrar Deer Management Plan which was adopted in 2016. The Deer Management Group would welcome any comments/feedback on the plan.
The DMP consists of three main parts:
- Part 1: The Working Plan sets out the most up to date information on culls, counts and population targets as well as specific actions the Deer Management Group will undertake throughout the life of the plan. The Working Plan is a live document and will be reviewed at least twice annually, with a systematic review of the whole plan taking place at the end of the five year period.
- Part 2: Deer Management Plan Information: This sets out background information and details the Public Interest actions to be undertaken by the Group relating to Deer Management in the local area. Information on individual management units is also contained here.
- Part 3: Group Operation: This section contains information relating to the Operation and Functioning of the DMG.
Please email comments to the plan author Dr Linzi Seivwright: linzi@caorann.com.
A Public Consultation Meeting was held at Cannich on Friday 5th February 2016 to discuss the plan and to seek views from the local community. This was a joint event to be held with Affric and Kintail Deer Management Group. All welcome.
